OCTAVE KARALIEVITCH
👴🏻 BIOGRAPHY
📚 EDUCATION
After studying sciences (mathematics and physics in preparatory classes for engineering schools, followed by philosophy of science and knowledge), Octave ventured into psychology and cognitive sciences. He looked into research in three areas in particular: creativity, education, and therapy.
Drawn to personal development and personal liberation processes, he also trained in contemporary "brief therapies" and coaching tools like NLP and Ericksonian Hypnosis, both approaches from which he is certified Master Practitioner from the Society of NLP.
Resuming his actors training, he explored numerous Russian and American techniques, with the Meisner technique capturing his attention for its genuine, playful, and straightforward approach.
🚪 PARIS MEISNER STUDIO
Recognising links between this technique and his former studies, Octave noticed the global variety of its approaches around the world. He founded Paris Meisner Studio to bring qualified teachers to Paris, ensuring continued training while exploring complementary aspects of the Meisner technique, its history, and evolution.
Parallel to teaching and directing the school, Octave pursued further training in related fields, including a five-year Gestalt therapist curriculum at EPG, a certified trainer course, and tools from Brad Blanton's Radical Honesty.
He also delved into traditional meditation techniques and Buddhist body-mind systems, especially Vipassana, after practicing Transcendental Meditation for six years.

🎥 FILMMAKING
In May 2021, Octave produced and co-directed the short film “C’est pas le Pérou !”, written by Aurélien Laplace and co-directed with Guillaume Caramelle. Since 2023, the film has been available on OCS, CanalPlay and Amazon Prime.
✅ PRODUCTIVITY & PKM
From 2020 (and the first COVID quarantine in France), Octave got into productivity and Personal Knowledge Management programs to better structure his activities, from teaching to film production, whilst directing his school.
With the success of the school and full groups in the Meisner & systemic coaching curriculum, he started to train teachers to his holistic approach, and consulting services for other acting schools.
